Energy Security and Strategic Planning: Lessons from the Russian Invasion of Ukraine
With energy prices spiking in Europe, countries have to reconsider what they mean by a secure energy supply, and how to make a rapid transition in line with climate mitigation and adaptation policies. This presentation explores some methods of anticipating potential futures, and mapping out courses for more energy secure policies.
The Weston Roundtable is made possible by a generous donation from Roy F. Weston, a highly accomplished UW-Madison alumnus. Designed to promote a robust understanding of sustainability science, engineering, and policy, these interactive lectures are co-sponsored by the Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE), the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and the Office of Sustainability.
