In this Unit, we use a common format of public speaking known as the,
"elevator speech." These short, public speaking opportunities allow us
to use our voices to advocate, inform and inspire. In nonprofit
communications, elevator speeches are essential for getting the word out
about a NPO's mission-related work - representing well the communities
with which our nonprofits are engaged, and making "public" - through
this unique format of public speaking - the good social change efforts
that we represent.
