From Gabriele Thormann
Hi all, welcome to Page House! I’m Gabi Thormann, your house fellow for this year! I use she/her/hers pronouns and I live in room 5112! I’m a senior studying biochemistry and molecular & cellular biology. I love to go hiking and kayaking and being outdoors, I love crafting and baking, and my favorite animal is the tortoise. A few fun facts about me are that I’m a dual citizen of the U.S. and Brazil, my thumbs are both double jointed, and until the age of 20 I couldn’t pronounce the word “synonym”.
I am here to serve as your mentor, a resource, and guide while you are living in the residence halls. I am here to support you both academically and personally. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns! Even if I do not have the answer, I am here to help you find it!
As a House Fellow, I am a mandatory reporter, which means I am a private resource, but not a confidential resource. This means I may have to share the information with my supervisor, but will not share with fellow HFs or other residents.
I am here to ensure this community is a safe and welcoming environment. This means I will do things like plan programs, find ways to help you meet other residents, and enforce policies.
We will enforce our university policies and expectations, this includes our community guidelines for things such as quiet hours, drinking underage, or hate/bias related incidents. These are just a few examples, not an exhausted list.
House Fellows Serve on duty so be sure to save the number to the duty phone in your phone. It is (608) 712-8403. You can call this phone number when you’re locked out after the desk closes, if you have an emergency or situation, or if you want to report a policy/noise violation after hours, to list a few examples.
I’m so glad you’re joining Page House and I’m looking forward to getting to know you this semester!
