This interesting research project reveals some of the biases that media sources have regarding their decisions about who "makes the news." We give particular attention to knowing more about gender identities and how people are portrayed - and covered! - in the media. As newswriters, we can be better informed about how to integrate full inclusion and belonging in our approaches to community news.
