In this webinar recording, LabArchives representative Gloria Yarandi provides an overview of widget and form functionality. Forms and Widgets help you structure how data is recorded in your notebook, making it easier to standardize entries across your lab and collect data consistently over time.
Widgets are interactive, reusable entries you can add to any notebook page — think calculators, checklists, SOPs, and inventory trackers. LabArchives includes 24+ built-in options, and UW–Madison users can build their own using the Widget Manager or browse ready-to-use options in the Widget Library.
Forms take it a step further. Built with a simple drag-and-drop tool, Forms let you collect structured data across multiple notebook pages or team members — and export it all as a CSV for downstream analysis.
