In this session, we explored the differences between empathy and compassion and why the difference might matter in our work as designers. The session also included a guided mindfulness practice and practical tips for incorporating compassion-driven practices into your daily design routine.
Our guest Trudy Watt, AIA NOMA, is a designer, educator and pragmatic optimist who builds platforms, programs and projects to maximize compassionate design-driven collaboration for equitable well-being and a more regenerative future. She is currently working to expand transdisciplinary life-centered design in higher education.
