An Introduction to the Ecology of Food and Agriculture
(Agroecology 103)
Have you ever wondered about the role food and farming systems play in global issues such as food security, social justice, soil and water quality, and climate change? Have you ever asked yourself:
· Should I eat meat?
· Should I buy organic?
· Can we feed 10 billion people by 2050?
· Can we do it without destroying the planet?
If so, you are starting to think like an Agroecologist! Join us this summer as we explore vexing societal problems around food and agricultural, and critically evaluate potential solutions. This 3-credit course will combine in-person and online instruction. There are no prerequisites to register.
When: Tuesday & Thursday / 1:00pm to 2:15pm

Want the full agroecological experience? You can also join us for the optional 1-credit field section (Agronomy 375) where we will explore agroecological concepts firsthand through field trips, field days, and field work!
