Simple Apple Galette
Ingredients:
1 x fresh pizza dough. We’re using Trader Joe’s version
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Sprinkle sugar over non-stick foil lined baking sheet.
3. Smush pizza dough on top of sugar and pat down to the shape of the pan.
4. Rest the dough for 15 minutes. Drink beverage of choice.
5. After it rests, continue to stretch the dough out on the pan.
6. Arrange apple slices decoratively onto pizza dough, pressing apples into dough to set.
7. Break butter up into small pieces and dot the pizza with butter. Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
8. Bake at 400 degree oven for 45 minutes until nicely brown and crusty.
9. When done, run flat spatula under crust to ensure it doesn’t stick to foil.
10. Let cool to room temp.
11. Brush with 1/3 cup of apricot preserves.
12. Cut and serve by itself or with ice cream.
