The Center for Health Disparities Research (CHDR) strives to catalyze research, collaboration and innovation in mechanistic-focused health disparities for UW researchers through support for social-biological phenotyping, multi-level mechanistic analytics, mechanistic focused systems assessment, and education.
The CHDR Seminar Series contributes to the educational mission of the Center through the creation of an interprofessional forum for teaching, learning, and collaboration for learners at various points in their careers--from emerging undergraduate researchers exploring the possibility of a career in research through late-career researchers looking for opportunities to integrate mechanistic health disparities research and mentoring into their work.
The CHDR Seminar Series employs a variety of content delivery models and methods, from occasional didactic lectures to interactive round tables, panel discussions, and workshops. The digital content curated in this channel includes recordings of past Series events. As a digital resource, Seminar Series content in this channel may be used in curriculum development and delivery, broad instruction, and continuing education/professional development initiatives.
